Seong Jae Song, born 1957 studied Book Arts(MA) at Camberwell College, University of The Arts London, UK and visual design(BA) at the College of Fine Art, Seoul National University, Korea. He is professor at the Art College of Hoseo University, Asan-city, Korea and works as a Graphic Designer. His work experience includes Art Director of Monthly Magazines, Dong-A Daily News; Vice President of Visual Information Design Association of Korea: Vice President of Korea Book Art Association; Art Adviser of PYY Publishing Group.
Seong Jae Song was invited Artist at the Jury of Korea National Industrial Design Exhibition and Director of 'Artist Book Seoul' hall, 2005 Frankfurt Book Fair. He was awarded with the Grand Prize, The 1st. Jigji Typeface Competition an won the Special Prize, Korea National Industrial Design Exhibition.
Seong Jae Song 's art work was presented at numerous exhibitions including 2002 Flag Art Festival-Poetry of The Winds, World Cup Park, Seoul; First Solo Exhibition for the Book Cover Design, Fifteen Gallery, Seou; The Great Harmony, The Exhibition of The Ethnic Korean Contemporary Posters; 2000 London Artist book Fair, Barbican Centre, UK; Y-Book(Artist Book Group), Frankfurt Book Fair, Germany and Y-Book(Artist Book Group), Seoul International Book Art Fair, Korea. His publications include: Hurb Lubalin, Design Avant-Garde(Design House Co.); Language and Typography(Communication Books Publishing)-Korean translation; Making and Breaking the Grid (Ann Graphics)-Korean translation; The Secret History of Typography (Tree of Thought Publishing)-Korean translation.
