A soccer ball is a global symbol for playing in a team and for competing peacefully. 32 nations participate in the FiFa World Cup - the soccer ball consists of 32 pieces of leather - each of them a perfect basis to symbolize a participating nation with an artist's impression.

The first Art-Ball was presented at the FiFa World Cup 2002 in Korea.

The second Art Ball, the "Ball of Nations 2006" for the FiFa World Cup 2006 was exhibited during the championship in the “Museum of History” in Hannover, Germany.
