Kate Erlewine

has worked in the Web department of the National Business Incubation Association since 2001. She graduated from Ohio University with a degree in Interactive Multimedia. In her free time, she does freelance web design, and enjoys embroidery, drawing, sewing, and the great outdoors.

The Host

Dinah Adkins is president and CEO of the National Business Incubation Association (NBIA), an organization of incubator managers and developers. Under her direction since 1988, the Association has grown to more than 1,700 members representing 49 nations and a staff of 13. It has also developed a comprehensive array of member services including publications, training, and research and information clearinghouse activities. Previously, Ms. Adkins managed the Ohio University Innovation Center, a campus-based incubator, with which she was associated in 1982. She has been an invited speaker on topics related to business incubation at conferences throughout the world and is the author of many publications on the subject. She is an advisory board member of the Nidus Center for Scientific Enterprise, a life sciences incubator created by Monsanto Corp. and Washington University of St. Louis, Mo. Ms. Adkins previously served on the advisory board of the Panasonic Internet Incubator in Cupertino, Calif., and the governing board of the Qatar Science & Technology Park in Doha, Qatar.
